Job Description

Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • Able to Handle the full set of accounts, including month-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), including bank reconciliations and related accounting transactions.
  • Prepare management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare financial statements, tax-related documents, and other relevant financial and statutory documentation.
  • Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and working papers, and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and the Company Secretary to ensure timely completion of requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of Group accounts and management presentations.
  • Monitor project accounting and costing, including analysing budget versus actual results and providing explanations for significant variances.
  • Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within the required timelines.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance accounting processes and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, SOPs, QMS, EMS, OSH, ABMS, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Immediate Superior, HOD, or Branch Manager.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Strong foundation in finance with the ability to apply financial knowledge in audit planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Hands-on experience in auditing and conducting financial audits, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends, assess risks, evaluate internal controls, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent are an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and audit methodologies.
  • Familiarity with audit documentation requirements and working paper preparation.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple audit assignments effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present audit findings clearly.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
