Responsibilities
About the role
Portfolio Associate supporting the day-to-day operations of investment portfolios within an asset management team. The role involves pre-trade review, trade matching, post-trade reconciliation, record keeping, and operational support to discretionary portfolio management and high-net-worth clients.
Key responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operations of investment portfolios, including pre-trade review, trade matching, post-trade reconciliation and record keeping
Liaise in English with fund administrators on NAV-related matters, Cayman and Hong Kong legal counsel on fund legal and regulatory matters, and banks and custodians on account documentation and operational requirements
Provide trading support and backup for portfolio execution, with a sound understanding of global equity markets
Provide operational support and client servicing to discretionary portfolio management and high-net-worth clients (non-sales)
Review, coordinate and maintain portfolio certifications, regulatory filings and internal documentation
Prepare reports, working papers and other operational documents as required
Undertake ad hoc assignments and projects as directed by management
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline
Licensed, or immediately eligible to be licensed, to conduct Type 4 and Type 9 regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance
At least 1–2 years of continuous full-time experience in a regulated financial institution (fresh graduates or candidates without relevant working experience may be considered for a Trainee position)
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Fluency in Cantonese is essential
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in using AI productivity tools
High degree of professionalism, integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information and situations
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational discipline
