About the Opportunity

A fast-growing international financial services group is seeking a Head of Regulatory Strategy to lead its regulatory expansion across multiple markets.

This is a strategic yet highly hands-on role for someone who has personally taken financial-services licences from feasibility and regulatory pathway selection through application and approval.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead licensing feasibility and regulatory pathway strategy across new jurisdictions, including licence type, market sequencing and entry structure.
2. Own and coordinate end-to-end licence applications, including preparation of application packs and internal deliverables.
3. Lead meetings, correspondence and enquiries with financial regulators, building credible long-term regulatory relationships.
4. Monitor regulatory developments and translate changes into implications for market entry and business strategy.
5. Act as Program Owner for regulatory market entry, coordinating Legal, Finance, HR, Company Secretariat and external regulatory advisers across jurisdictions.

Requirements

1. 8+ years' financial regulatory experience within financial services, FinTech, payments, brokerage or a relevant regulatory/advisory environment.
2. Personally led at least 1 end-to-end licence application and participated in 2+ licence applications.
3. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across 3+ jurisdictions.
4. Proven ability to engage directly and credibly with regulators and manage external regulatory advisers.
5. Able to translate regulatory pathways into practical timelines, resources and market-entry plans; regulator or Regulatory Affairs experience is advantageous.
