Connexus Global Hiring! Full Time Logistics Operations Specialist (Import - Export) in Selangor - Ricebowl

We are partnering with an established multinational company in the Industrial Gas & Chemical industry for a Logistics Specialist (Inland Operations) role to support its supply chain and logistics operations in Malaysia.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in import/export operations, customs clearance, inland transportation and shipping documentation, preferably with exposure to Chemicals or Dangerous Goods (DG) cargo.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inland logistics operations, including port-to-facility deliveries and return shipments.
• Manage import/export shipments, monitor shipment status, track deliveries and proactively resolve delays.
• Handle customs declarations and clearance, liaising with Malaysian Customs to ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis and commercial invoices.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, suppliers and internal logistics teams to ensure smooth shipment coordination and timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate shipment tracking records and ensure timely updates to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Min of 5 years in logistics, supply chain, import/export operations or freight forwarding.
• Experience in the Chemical, Industrial Gas or Freight Forwarding industry would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures, import/export declarations and shipping documentation.
• Experience handling Dangerous Goods (DG) cargo and familiarity with relevant regulations would be highly desirable.
• Knowledge of domestic logistics movements across East and West Malaysia would be an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Well-organised, detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
