Job Description

Responsibilities

CyberQuote is looking for a part-time, contract Proprietary Trading Trainer to lead delivery of our Professional Proprietary Trading Experience Course, a two-day, classroom-based programme that is case-led and simulation-led. Participants work through the full trading cycle: pre-market preparation, trade thesis, position sizing, execution, trading-book risk, behavioural bias and post-trade review.

You will bring practical prop trading experience into the classroom, run the sessions, guide the simulations and debriefs, and keep the content realistic and current. The programme is educational. It does not provide investment advice, trade recommendations or promises of trading profits.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver the two-day programme , including timed, sequential simulations, trading-book demonstration
  • Facilitate structured debriefs that assess decision quality, risk discipline and process, rather than simulated P&L.
  • Share real-world examples of the trading cycle, including trade selection, sizing, execution, portfolio management and post-trade review.
  • Prepare and maintain scenario packs, reveal sequences, worksheets and assessment rubrics.
  • Keep course content aligned with current market practice, risk management and regulatory expectations.

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on experience as a prop trader, ideally on a proprietary or buy-side desk.
  • Solid working knowledge of position sizing, stop placement and invalidation, correlation, gross and net exposure, and portfolio-level risk.
  • Familiarity with behavioural biases in decision-making, such as loss aversion, overconfidence and recency bias.
  • A confident facilitator who can challenge participants’ reasoning constructively and keep discussions focused on process.
  • Comfort with numerical calculations and spreadsheet-based risk models.
  • Discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential information.
  • An ACLP or ACTA certification is a plus, though not compulsory.
  • A degree or diploma in Finance, Economics, Trading, Data Science or a related field is beneficial.
