Job Purpose
To identify and develop new business opportunities, establish strategic partnerships, expand the company's customer base, and drive sustainable revenue growth. The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying potential clients, understanding market opportunities, developing business relationships, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to convert opportunities into successful business engagements.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within target industries and customer segments.
- Develop strategies to expand the company's market presence and customer base.
- Identify potential clients, strategic partners, and business opportunities through networking, industry events, referrals, online research, and other channels.
- Explore new markets, service offerings, and potential revenue streams aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and business opportunities.
- Conduct meetings and presentations with prospective clients to introduce the company's services and capabilities.
B. Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, business partners, and key stakeholders.
- Understand customers' business requirements, challenges, and objectives to identify suitable solutions.
- Follow up on client enquiries, meetings, proposals, and business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, cross-selling, and upselling.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to strengthen business relationships and improve customer engagement.
C. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute business development plans to achieve assigned revenue and growth targets.
- Identify potential projects, contracts, and commercial opportunities for the company's IT services and technology solutions.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, quotations, and commercial documents in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
- Participate in commercial negotiations and support contract discussions in accordance with company policies and approval procedures.
- Work closely with the Sales team to convert qualified business opportunities into confirmed projects and contracts.
- Monitor the progress of opportunities from initial engagement through proposal submission and deal closure.
D. Market Research & Business Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Analyse market conditions and identify potential industries and customer segments for business expansion.
- Monitor competitor offerings, pricing, and market positioning.
- Provide market intelligence and recommendations to management to support business planning and strategic decisions.
- Evaluate potential business opportunities based on commercial viability, customer requirements, and company capabilities.
E. Strategic Partnerships & Networking
- Identify and develop relationships with potential business partners, technology providers, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
- Participate in networking events, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and other business engagement activities.
- Explore partnership opportunities that can support business growth and expand the company's service offerings.
- Represent the company professionally during client meetings and external business engagements.
F. Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with technical consultants, solution architects, project teams, Marketing, and Sales to develop suitable customer solutions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure business proposals and customer requirements are aligned with the company's capabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, business opportunities, and pipeline progress in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, new opportunities, revenue forecasts, and market trends.
- Provide updates to management on business progress, potential challenges, and recommended actions.
