Job Description
Responsibilities
Job Summary
Manage daily warehouse operations,import and export cargo movements, manpower, contractors, and documentation toensure safe, accurate, and timely completion of work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations andTeam Management
Supervise cargo receiving, loading, unloading, and transloading.
Allocate manpower and contractor jobs, monitor progress, and provide hands-on support when required.
Resolve operational issues and improve workflow efficiency.
2. Import, Export andOperational Coordination
Coordinate cargo collection, delivery, and container movements with office staff, controllers, drivers, suppliers, and contractors.
Prepare and verify permits, Delivery Orders (DOs), Delivery Notes (DNs), cargo labels, and discharging lists.
Monitor vessel arrivals and cargo status to meet schedules and avoid unnecessary storage charges.
Arrange manpower, equipment, and transport, and communicate operational updates.
3. Safety and Housekeeping
Conduct safety checks, attend PSA safety meetings, and ensure compliance with company and site procedures.
Maintain warehouse housekeeping and follow up on hazards, incidents, and equipment defects.
4. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate operational records and report delays, discrepancies, and manpower shortages.
Recommend improvements to reduce errors, delays, and costs.
5. Job Requirements
Relevant warehouse experience, including import and export cargo handling and team supervision.
Familiarity with container operations and shipping documentation.
Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and record keeping.
