Job Description: VMware Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced VMware / On-Premises Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage, configure, maintain, automate, and troubleshoot VMware-based software-defined data centre (SDDC) environments. The role involves ensuring infrastructure availability, performance, security, disaster recovery, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support VMware ESXi, vSAN, NSX, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), SDDC Manager, HA, and DRS.
• Manage and monitor VMware Cloud Foundation components, performing advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Configure and maintain Site Recovery Manager (SRM), disaster recovery, business continuity, and replication solutions.
• Use VMware Aria Operations (vROps) for monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Manage Dell VxRail infrastructure, VxRail Manager, RecoverPoint for VM (RP4VM), and related components.
• Automate VM provisioning, configuration, infrastructure deployment, and operational processes using scripting and coding.
• Perform cross-data-centre migrations and physical-to-virtual infrastructure migrations.
• Support SAN, iSCSI, storage replication, backup technologies, and virtual networking integrations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve system reliability and performance.
• Maintain operational documentation, follow ITIL processes, and participate in out-of-hours production and project support.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies, including ESXi, vSAN, NSX, VCF, SDDC Manager, HA, and DRS.
• Expertise in VMware SDDC, on-premises cloud infrastructure, and hyper-converged solutions.
• Experience with VMware SRM, disaster recovery, business continuity, and replication.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Aria Operations and Dell VxRail infrastructure.
• Knowledge of storage technologies, including SAN, iSCSI, EMC/Hitachi, backup, and virtual networking.
• Experience in infrastructure automation, scripting, troubleshooting, and server migration.

• Banking industry experience and project management knowledge.
• ITIL experience and familiarity with modern hyper-converged infrastructure solutions.
