We're Hiring: Group Sustainability – Strategy & Policies

Are you passionate about driving meaningful change and shaping the future of sustainable banking?

AmBank Group is seeking an experienced and visionary sustainability leader to spearhead our sustainable finance agenda, drive our net-zero ambitions, and strengthen our commitment to responsible banking practices.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development and execution of the Group's Sustainability Strategy and Roadmap.
• Drive the implementation of our Net Zero Transition Plan and Sustainable Finance Framework.
• Partner with business and risk teams to embed ESG and sustainability considerations into financing, lending, investment, and decision-making processes.
• Advise on sustainable finance transactions and complex ESG-related matters.
• Shape and enhance sustainability policies, frameworks, and governance standards across the Group.
• Engage with regulators, industry bodies, NGOs, and ecosystem partners to stay ahead of emerging sustainability trends and regulatory developments.
• Champion climate risk, responsible lending, green financing, transition finance, and ESG initiatives throughout the organization.
• Drive thought leadership through research, analytics, and industry collaboration.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 15 years of experience in banking, financial services, sustainability, ESG, risk management, regulatory compliance, consulting, or related fields.

Strong understanding of:

• Sustainable Finance
• ESG & Climate Risk
• Net Zero & Decarbonization Strategies
• Regulatory Frameworks & Governance
• Responsible Lending & Investment

Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage senior executives, regulators, and industry partners.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Law, or related disciplines.

Sustainable Finance certifications and/or a Master's Degree will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Climate risk modelling and stress testing
• Sustainability data analytics
• Sustainable finance product development
• Sector decarbonization strategies
• Climate adaptation and resilience planning
