Responsibilities
Responsibilities:-
Day-to-Day Operations & Closing:
o Manage full-spectrum accounting functions, including AP/AR, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and monthly/year-end closing.
o Oversee treasury management, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
o Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with relevant schedules.
Multi-Entity & Manufacturing Accounting:
o Handle inter-company transactions and reconciliations between our sales and manufacturing entities.
o Monitor inventory valuation, product costing, and stock controls.
Process Automation & System Modernization:
o Review current accounting practices and lead the transition from legacy manual processes to modern, automated accounting/ERP software.
o Train, upskill, and mentor the accounting team (2–3 direct reports) to adopt updated digital workflows and tools.
Compliance, Governance & Reporting:
o Establish proper internal accounting controls, policies, and systematic filing records.
o Coordinate internal/annual audits and serve as the main liaison with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and government authorities.
o Ensure full compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax obligations, and regulatory filings.
Requirements
Education & Qualification:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CPA/MIA is an added advantage).
Work Experience:
Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
Industry Background:
Experience in SME manufacturing, engineering, or trading environments is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficient with SQL (or similar accounting software), and advanced MS Excel.
Strong understanding of local tax regulations, bookkeeping procedures, and cost controls.
Interest in accounting software migration and workflow automation.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and develop junior team members.
Attention to detail, analytical capabilities, & proactive, independent work style to hit deadlines.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
