Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Manager, based in Greater Kuala Lumpur with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Business Development Manager will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and manage a pipeline of prospects, and drive end-to-end sales cycles for digital transformation and information management solutions. The role involves engaging with clients in targeted verticals, understanding their business and technical requirements, preparing proposals and solution presentations, and collaborating with delivery consultants to shape optimal solutions. The individual will maintain strong relationships with existing clients, support account growth, and coordinate with partners to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies. Day-to-day activities include conducting market research, attending client meetings, preparing commercial offers, forecasting sales, and reporting on performance and opportunities to leadership.

Qualifications

• Business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and negotiation.
• Client relationship and account management skills, with the ability to build trust, understand stakeholder needs, and manage long-term engagements.
• Knowledge of digital transformation, data and information management, or enterprise software solutions, preferably within Energy, Manufacturing, Utilities, Healthcare, or Financial Services.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear business terms and create persuasive proposals.
• Analytical and planning skills, including market research, sales forecasting, and the ability to develop go-to-market strategies and account plans.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and partners while managing priorities independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in sales or digital transformation are an advantage.
• Prior experience in B2B enterprise solutions or consulting, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Comfort working in multicultural environments and engaging clients across different organizational levels, from operational teams to senior leadership.
