The Membership and Organising Officer drives union membership recruitment through workplace outreach, roadshows and engagement with workers. The role also coordinates freelance recruiters, supports the organising of new branches and handles membership administration.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and conduct roadshows and other recruitment activities.
2. Liaise directly with company management and partners to arrange recruitment activities and build working relationships.
3. Engage workers, explain union membership benefits and recruit new members.
4. Brief, coordinate and monitor freelance recruiters.
5. Follow up with prospective members, track recruitment results and work towards recruitment targets.
6. Support the organising of new union branches where required.
7. Process membership applications, maintain accurate records and respond to membership enquiries.
8. Assist with other membership and administrative matters when required.

Requirements

1. Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence and be willing and able to drive to workplaces across Singapore for recruitment activities.
2. Confident in engaging workers and liaising with company management.
3. Results driven, with the ability to plan recruitment activities, track progress and follow through on opportunities.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
5. Good communication and organisation skills.
6. Experience in outreach, recruitment or sales is preferred.
