Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bagan Datuk for a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Manager dedicated to data center operations. The HVAC Manager oversees the design, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of cooling and ventilation systems to ensure stable environmental conditions and equipment reliability. Daily responsibilities include supervising HVAC technicians and contractors, planning preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating plumbing and related mechanical services, and responding to alarms or environmental incidents. The role involves optimizing energy efficiency, managing vendor relationships, supporting capacity planning for future expansion, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards. The HVAC Manager also works closely with facilities, IT, and operations teams to maintain service continuity and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

• Strong technical background in HVAC systems, particularly in data center or mission-critical environments, including system design, operation, and maintenance.
• Experience managing plumbing and related mechanical services within large facilities or industrial settings.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and customer service, with the ability to communicate clearly and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Exposure to sales or vendor management activities, such as coordinating with service providers, reviewing proposals, and optimizing contracts.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related field; professional certifications in HVAC or data center facilities are an advantage.
• Proven experience in facilities or data center operations, including preventive maintenance planning, incident response, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data, system logs, and performance metrics.
• Ability to lead and develop a technical team, manage shift coverage, and work on-site in Bagan Datuk as needed, including occasional after-hours support.
