Hiring: Java Backend Developer – AWS & Microservices


Location: Singapore | Experience: 7+ Years


About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services, APIs, and microservices in an AWS cloud environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
  • Build enterprise integrations with MuleSoft, Okta, and third-party systems.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS ECS, EC2, and RDS.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeCommit.
  • Work with SQL/Oracle, optimize queries, and improve application performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Grafana and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Handle production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, QA, and business teams throughout the SDLC.


Required Skills


  • 7+ years of Java backend development experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, microservices, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • AWS experience with ECS, EC2, and RDS.
  • CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud deployment.
  • Strong SQL/Oracle database knowledge and query optimization.
  • Experience with Okta authentication/authorization and MuleSoft integrations.
  • Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Good to have: Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and production ownership skills.
