Qualcomm Hiring! Full Time Senior CMP Process Engineer in - Ricebowl

Join our Process Development Engineering team to own, sustain and optimize CMP processes for semiconductor manufacturing. You will drive yield improvement, defect reduction, root cause troubleshooting, process qualification, DOE, tool qualification and technology transfer projects, while partnering with cross-functional teams, suppliers and global sites.

What you will do:

• Own and sustain CMP processes to hit yield, quality, productivity and cost targets
• Develop & optimize CMP processes for robust high-volume manufacturing
• Lead yield enhancement, defect reduction and process capability improvement
• Perform data-driven troubleshooting & root cause analysis
• Support daily manufacturing operations and resolve process issues timely
• Execute process characterization, qualification and DOE studies
• Lead tool qualification, process release and technology transfer projects
• Drive productivity, capacity expansion and cost reduction initiatives
• Monitor KPIs: yield, Cpk, defectivity, OEE & throughput
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers and global manufacturing sites
• Lead technical projects and deliver milestones on schedule
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold safety, quality & change management compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years semiconductor manufacturing experience with strong hands-on CMP expertise
• Proven track record in process development, optimization, yield improvement and HVM support
• Experience delivering process improvement, cost reduction and operational excellence projects
• Track record leading cross-functional projects to drive measurable results
• Solid knowledge of DOE, SPC, FMEA; proficient with JMP / Minitab
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated, results-driven and thrive in a fast-paced fab environment
