Responsibilities
Our client is an established commercial interior design & build company providing customised interior and workplace solutions.
They are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee workshop operations, coordinate carpentry/joinery production and ensure projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily workshop and production operations.
Coordinate Carpenter Leads, craftsmen and production manpower.
Monitor production schedules, workflow and productivity.
Troubleshoot issues involving materials, drawings, manpower and fabrication.
Provide technical guidance on carpentry, joinery, fabrication and customised fittings.
Read and review shop / production drawings and ensure correct revisions are used.
Coordinate procurement of materials, hardware and fittings.
Monitor material usage and minimise wastage.
Ensure completed works meet quality, finishing and structural standards.
Liaise with project teams, suppliers and management.
Maintain workshop housekeeping and operational standards.
Support Risk Assessments, SWPs, Method Statements and WSH compliance.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years' relevant workshop / production experience.
Experience in carpentry, joinery, interior fit-out, custom fabrication or Design & Build preferred.
Good knowledge of carpentry materials, hardware and fabrication processes.
Able to read shop / production drawings.
Experience supervising carpenters, craftsmen or production workers.
Relevant qualification in Construction, Interior Design, Engineering, Carpentry or related field is advantageous.
Knowledge of WSH and safety documentation is an advantage.
Hands-on, proactive with good coordination and problem-solving skills.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
