Role Description The IT Application Engineer is a full-time role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing business applications used by banking, insurance, and enterprise clients. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and resolving application issues, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, implementing configuration changes, and performing system monitoring to ensure stability and performance. The IT Application Engineer will also assist in application deployments, updates, and integrations, while documenting technical procedures and providing user guidance. Collaboration with security, networking, and operations teams is essential to ensure compliant, reliable, and secure application environments.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills with experience diagnosing and resolving application and system issues.
• Foundational knowledge in Information Technology, including operating systems, databases, and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience in Technical Support, responding to incidents, service requests, and user inquiries.
• Understanding of Networking concepts and protocols, with awareness of Network Security best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with enterprise application ecosystems in banking, insurance, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing priorities independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices, ticketing systems, and change management processes is beneficial.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn about AI-driven solutions and automation within enterprise operations.
