Senior Executive, Operational Risk and Business Continuity Management

Job Description:

1. Assist the Operational Risk Manager in designing, implementing, and maintaining the bank’s overall Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework, policies, and governance structure.

2. Serve as the designated Submission Officer (SO) for Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submission of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Loss Event Data (LED) via the KijangNet ORR System.

3. Review, challenge, and monitor the end-to-end execution of ORM and Business Continuity Management (BCM) tools across business units, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), KRIs, LED, and Business Impact Analysis (BIA).

4. Function as the Alternate BCM Coordinator to support, coordinate, and oversee the implementation and execution of Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies and exercises.

5. Conduct robust risk evaluations and challenge exercises on new products, services, and key strategic projects prior to launch to ensure potential risks are identified and mitigated.

6. Prepare comprehensive, analytical periodic risk reports for senior leadership and serve as Secretariat for the Management Committee, managing agenda preparation, meeting administration, and minute-taking.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, IT, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Candidates with 1-3 years or relevant experience, at least have 1 year BCM experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google sheet.
