About the role
Senko Advanced Components is seeking a Design Quality Engineer II with deep, hands-on expertise in precision plastic injection molding and engineering plastics. In this role, you will act as the core quality authority during New Product Introduction (NPI)—driving tooling qualification, mold trials, critical dimension (CTQ) definition, and appearance/color standards directly with engineering teams and global suppliers.
Key responsibilities

NPI Quality & Tooling Qualification: Lead quality execution during new product development. Participate in tooling reviews, mold trials, and process parameter validations to ensure smooth transitions to mass production.

Risk & Control Planning: Apply APQP/PPAP frameworks. Develop and review PFMEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, and inspection plans (SIPs) for incoming (IQC), in-process (IPQC), and outgoing (OQC) quality.

CTQ & Inspection Standards: Identify Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) dimensions and GD&T requirements. Establish quantitative appearance standards and color control specifications (including Delta E measurements).

Documentation & Yield Management: Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) reviews, evaluate sample approvals, analyze pilot run yields, and drive continuous process capability improvements ().

Supplier Quality Development & Audits: Audit supplier molding processes, verify 4M/4M1E controls, evaluate design/tooling engineering changes, and drive root-cause analysis (8D / SCAR) for component defects.
About you

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience: 5+ years of engineering experience (e.g., Quality Engineering, Product Design, Tooling Engineering, or Process/Manufacturing Engineering) in high-precision manufacturing. Direct experience in precision plastic injection molding, mold trials, and engineering plastics is strongly required.

Technical Expertise:
Hands-on knowledge of mold tooling, injection molding defects, resin behavior , and process parameter optimization.

Proficiency in core quality and engineering tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, FAI, GD&T, and SPC .

Hands-on experience establishing appearance standards and color control (Delta E) for molded parts.

Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) for cross-border supplier and engineering coordination.

Mobility: Willingness to travel periodically to mainland China (Shenzhen/Guangdong region) for mold trials and supplier audits.
