Role Description The Automation Engineer/Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Subang Jaya. This role involves designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining automation systems, including electrical and control components for industrial applications. Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment and system issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to optimize performance and reliability. The role also covers configuring and tuning process control systems, supporting robotics and automated machinery, and ensuring that solutions meet safety, quality, and customer requirements. The Automation Engineer/Technician will collaborate with engineers, designers, and customers, prepare documentation, and provide technical support and training as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical issues in automation and control systems.
  • Knowledge of process control principles and experience working with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial control devices.
  • Background in electrical engineering, including reading schematics, wiring, panel design, and understanding of electrical safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, including setup, programming, integration, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
  • Exposure to robotics applications, motion control, and integration of robotic systems into production environments is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe working practices and continuous improvement.
