Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or equivalent.

• Engineer Role: Minimum 2 to 4 years of on-site architectural coordination experience.

• Supervisor Role: Minimum 5+ years of extensive site supervision experience in building works. • Valid CIDB Green Card is compulsory.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and reading architectural/structural drawings; experience in Revit/BIM is an advantage.

• Good command of English and Mandarin is essential to liaise with project management teams, local sub-contractors, and engineering consultants.

• Willing to be based full-time on-site in Penang.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical & Shop Drawing Coordination • Review and coordinate architectural drawings, detailed shop drawings, and finishes schedules against project specifications, UBBL, and authority regulations. • Coordinate closely with C&S and M&E engineers to resolve spatial clashes on site (CSD/SEM coordination and BIM model review). • Prepare and submit Request for Information (RFI), Method Statements, and Material Technical Data Sheets for Consultant approval.

• Site Supervision & Quality Assurance (QA/QC) • Supervise day-to-day architectural site activities including wet trades (masonry, plastering, screeding), waterproofing systems, curtain walls, doors, windows, and architectural finishes. • Conduct joint site inspections (Mock-ups, Trade-to-Trade handovers, and final RFI inspections) with Resident Engineers (RE), Clerk of Works (COW), and Consultants. • Enforce QA/QC procedures, maintain site inspection logs, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and supervise defect rectifications (Punch Lists) to achieve prompt handover standards.

• Subcontractor & Progress Control • Supervise local subcontractor performance, site progress, resource allocation, and sequence of work in line with the Master Project Schedule. • Assist the Commercial/QS team in verifying site measurements, work done certifications, and variation claims. • Strictly monitor and enforce CIDB site safety protocols, tidy site housekeeping, and environmental standards within the architectural scope.
