Job Summary

Support traders in executing bunker and marine fuel transactions while coordinating operational logistics and ensuring accurate documentation and communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support traders in executing daily bunker and marine fuel transactions to ensure smooth operations
• Conduct KYC reviews to verify counterparties and comply with regulatory requirements
• Coordinate bunker nominations, delivery schedules, and operational arrangements with suppliers, customers, vessels, agents, and other parties to ensure timely deliveries
• Monitor bunker deliveries and resolve operational delays, quantity or quality issues, documentation discrepancies, and claims promptly
• Prepare, verify, and maintain transaction-related documents including confirmations, nominations, bunker delivery notes, invoices, and supporting paperwork for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain accurate records of trades, deliveries, pricing, quantities, and counterparties, updating transaction status daily in the system
• Collaborate closely with the finance team to reconcile supplier invoices, customer billing, and receipt and payment statuses
• Follow up on outstanding receivables, documentation, and operational matters to support cash flow and transaction closure
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager to support team objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or higher education qualification
• Experience in bunker trading operations, marine fuels, or commodity trading operations
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions and documentation
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with traders, customers, suppliers, and agents
• Proficiency in MS Office applications for documentation and reporting
• Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to facilitate clear communication
