1. Financial Planning & Budgeting

• Develop and manage the annual budget and periodic forecasts.

• Monitor financial performance against budgets and business objectives.

• Prepare financial models and business cases for strategic initiatives.

• Analyse budget variances and recommend corrective actions.

• Support long-term financial planning and resource allocation.

2. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP).

• Present financial reports and performance analysis to senior management.

• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor daily cash flow and liquidity requirements.

• Manage working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.

• Forecast cash flow and recommend funding strategies.

• Maintain banking relationships and oversee banking transactions.

• Optimize cash management and investment of surplus funds.

4. Financial Analysis

• Conduct profitability, cost, and trend analysis.

• Develop financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Evaluate financial risks and business opportunities.

• Support pricing, investment, and capital expenditure decisions.

• Provide financial insights to support strategic planning.

5. Accounting & Internal Controls

• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial records.

• Ensure effective internal controls and financial policies are implemented.

• Review accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness.

• Support continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

• Safeguard company assets through sound financial controls.

6. Tax & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.

• Coordinate the preparation and submission of tax returns.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

• Monitor changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.

• Ensure timely payment of taxes and statutory obligations.

7. Audit Management

• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.

• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.

• Implement audit recommendations and corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and governance requirements.

8. Cost Management

• Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Analyse production or operational costs where applicable.

• Support procurement and vendor cost evaluations.

• Improve cost efficiency without compromising business objectives.

9. Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.

• Allocate work, monitor performance, and support employee development.

• Promote continuous learning and process improvement within the finance team.

• Partner with department heads to support financial decision-making.

• Provide financial advice on business initiatives and projects.
