Assistant Manager, AI Governance & Technology Risk (Kuala Lumpur)

We are hiring a Manager to lead our organisation’s AI governance, technology risk, and enterprise compliance standards. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in IT governance who want to step into the fast‑growing domain of responsible AI and emerging technology risk.

Key Responsibilities

AI Governance & Risk Management

• Implement and manage the enterprise AI governance framework (intake, risk tiering, approvals, monitoring).
• Assess internal and vendor AI tools for privacy, fairness, security, and operational risk.
• Maintain the central inventory of AI models, tools, and third‑party applications.

Technology Risk & Compliance

• Align internal IT policies with ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS, and local regulatory requirements.
• Conduct vendor technology risk assessments and manage third‑party access governance.
• Serve as the main contact for internal and external audits related to IT governance and security.

Training & Advisory

• Deliver training and awareness sessions on responsible AI, technology risk, and compliance standards.
• Provide governance guidance to product, data, and engineering teams early in project cycles.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT governance, technology risk, IT audit, or compliance.
• Exposure to AI governance, responsible AI principles, or emerging technology risk assessments.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 27001 and PCI‑DSS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Governance, or related fields.
• Advantageous certifications: ISO/IEC 42001, ISO 27001 LI/LA, CRISC, CISM, CGEIT, CISSP.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
