We are hiring - Regional Senior Accountant (Full time, Hybrid)

Location: Kuala Lumpur

Salary: RM 15,000 (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Financial & Statutory Reporting-

• Manage full spectrum of accounting functions and month-end closing
• Review and approve journal vouchers, financial reports, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly GST submissions
• Lead external audits and manage audit queries independently
• Assist with annual tax return process
• Monitor intercompany and other receivables
• Own regional recharges and true-up processes
• Review employee claims for T&E policy compliance

Forecasting & Budgeting-

• Collaborate with Cost Centre Owners on budgets and forecasts
• Provide analysis of regional office performance
• Analyse budget variances and advise management on risks and opportunities

Treasury & Cash Management-

• Perform daily cash management for APME countries under cash pool
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and analyse variances
• Manage relationships with banking partners and financial institutions

Regional Role-

• Review actual results for APME countries and provide variance analysis
• Review monthly financial packages and balance sheets
• Perform DSO / AR overdue analysis and OUP flash reporting

Key Requirements:

• Full spectrum of financial and accounting functions
• Experience in month-end / quarter-end closing (end-to-end process)
• Experience reviewing and approving journal entries, financial reports, and bank reconciliations
• GST submission experience
• Experience liaising with external auditors and managing audit queries independently
• Experience with annual tax return process
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, T&E policies, and process improvement
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Treasury / cash management experience (cash pool management is an advantage)
• Experience with APME countries / regional reporting is a plus
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
