We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to develop and enhance digital platforms that support Singapore's public sector digital transformation.

You will work on government-wide platforms that enable agencies, developers, and technology teams to discover, evaluate, and adopt digital products and services. This includes building user-facing applications, backend services, APIs, search capabilities, and integrations that improve product discovery and developer experience.

The role involves end-to-end software development, from solution design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Develop and integrate backend services, RESTful APIs, and reusable components to support platform functionality.
• Implement product discovery capabilities, including search, filtering, navigation, and integration with content management and knowledge services.
• Integrate applications with shared services, including product catalogues, subscription management, and onboarding workflows.
• Design and implement reliable, secure, and maintainable software architectures, following engineering best practices.
• Develop automated tests and support CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability to maintain application performance, availability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, optimise application performance, and continuously improve existing systems.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity while maintaining code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing to improve overall engineering standards.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with hands-on experience in full-stack application development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience developing backend applications and APIs using Node.js, Java, Python, .NET, or other server-side technologies.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, system integration, and modern web application architecture.
• Experience with automated testing, debugging, performance optimisation, and secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design and deliver maintainable, production-ready solutions.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.

• Hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
• Experience building search functionality, content management systems, developer portals, or knowledge platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with containerisation, infrastructure automation, and application observability.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar solutions.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical design decisions.
• Prior experience developing enterprise-scale applications or government digital services.
