Senior Engineer – OMP / Solar PV

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to support the Operation, Maintenance & Performance (OMP) of solar PV plants. The role will focus on technical troubleshooting, plant performance, maintenance reliability and coordination with site teams, vendors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting for inverter, transformer, RMU, protection relay, SCADA, PPC and MV systems.
• Review plant performance including PR, availability, specific yield, generation and energy losses.
• Support investigation of plant trips, equipment failures and recurring technical issues.
• Prepare and review RCA, technical reports and improvement actions.
• Review preventive, corrective and condition-based maintenance activities.
• Provide technical guidance to Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, EPCC, asset owners and utility parties on technical matters.
• Review SOP, MOS, technical procedures, protection settings and vendor proposals.
• Support plant upgrades, modification works and reliability improvement projects.
• Monitor critical technical issues and report progress to the OMP Manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in solar PV, electrical power systems or O&M environment.
• Good understanding of MV systems, protection, inverter, SCADA and plant performance.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lead technical discussions and coordinate with multiple parties.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
