Assunta Hospital is seeking an experienced Head of Information Technology to lead our IT function and shape the technology supporting patient care and hospital operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer as part of the Senior Management Team, you will drive IT strategy, strengthen cybersecurity and deliver digital improvements in partnership with clinical and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Hospital’s IT strategy, technology roadmap and governance framework.
• Oversee clinical and business applications, system integration, infrastructure and IT support.
• Lead cybersecurity, access management and incident response to safeguard confidential information.
• Maintain and test backup, disaster recovery and system downtime arrangements.
• Deliver IT projects, upgrades and digitalisation initiatives with effective user training and adoption.
• Manage IT budgets, procurement, vendor contracts and service performance.
• Support hospital audits, accreditation and IT risk management.
• Lead and develop the IT team, strengthening service quality, accountability and succession readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• At least 12 years of relevant IT experience, including 5 years in a managerial or leadership role with full accountability for an IT function.
• Proven experience managing infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity and major IT projects.
• Strong capabilities in people leadership, budget management and vendor management.
• Ability to communicate technical matters clearly and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Hospital or healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications in IT service management, cybersecurity, networking or project management would be an advantage.
