Role Description

The Senior Project Engineer (HVAC) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bandar Sri Damansara, responsible for leading the design, coordination, and execution of HVAC engineering projects from concept to completion.

This position oversees project planning, system design, technical reviews, site inspections, installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable local regulations.

The Senior Project Engineer will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to coordinate project requirements, resolve technical issues, manage project schedules, and support cost control. The role also involves preparing engineering documentation, reviewing technical drawings, guiding junior engineers, monitoring site progress, and reporting project status to management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC projects, with HVAC specialization being essential.
• Strong project leadership capabilities, including Project Engineering, Project Management, Project Planning, and project coordination skills.
• Solid technical background in HVAC systems, with relevant Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, implementation, troubleshooting, project coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin are highly preferred.
• Open-minded, approachable, and comfortable engaging with people from different backgrounds and working styles.
• Willingness to communicate openly, exchange ideas, collaborate with team members, and contribute positively to the working environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards, and perform basic calculations and design checks.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Professional registration, relevant HVAC certification, or technical training is an added advantage.
• Experience managing on-site construction or installation activities, including safety and quality control oversight.
• Experience in the railway industry is an added advantage.
• Candidates with previous HVAC experience from Panasonic or Daikin are highly preferred.
• Proficiency with engineering and design software, including CAD tools, and MS Office for documentation and reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks/projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, take ownership of responsibilities, and support team objectives.

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Salary: RM4,000 and above, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
