Job Description

Requirements

We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Inverter Service & Maintenance Intern to support our technical team in the inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, repair, and maintenance of inverter systems and related electrical/electronic equipment.

This internship provides practical exposure to inverter technology, power electronics, electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and field service activities. The intern will work closely with experienced technical personnel and receive guidance in diagnosing faults and carrying out appropriate servicing and repair work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians and engineers in inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and repair of inverter systems.

  • Perform basic diagnostic checks to identify electrical and electronic faults under supervision.

  • Assist in checking inverter components such as PCBs, capacitors, cooling fans, rectifiers, IGBTs/power modules, terminals and control circuits.

  • Use appropriate test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters and other diagnostic tools under supervision.

  • Assist in identifying faulty components and carrying out component replacement where appropriate.

  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for inverter systems and related equipment.

  • Assist with inverter installation, configuration, testing and commissioning where required.

  • Read and interpret basic electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and technical manuals.

  • Record fault symptoms, diagnostic findings, repairs performed, components replaced and testing results.

  • Assist in preparing service reports and maintenance records.

  • Support the technical team during customer site visits and field servicing when required.

  • Maintain tools, testing equipment, spare parts and the service/workshop area in good condition.

  • Follow all electrical safety procedures, work instructions and company safety requirements.

  • Perform other technical and maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.
