Responsibilities
Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 to 29 Oct 2027 (10 months) with an option to extend the contract for another 10 months.
Working hours:
Working hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 2:30pm,
- Fridays: 7:30amto 12:30pm,
- inclusive of 1hrlunch break, where applicable
- Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays and gazetted public holidays
- Ad-hoc services may be required during the school holidays, but unlikely to exceed a total of 10 hours.
- Maintain the daily cleanliness of the Food and Consumer Education Rooms and Preparation Room
- Assist teachers in managing the tasks listed below: -
- Place weekly orders for food ingredients, materials and cleaning supplies for the department
- Prepare materials for weekly food practical and theory lessons
- Supervisethe safety and discipline of students
- Conductcheck to ensure the safety of the Laboratory after each lesson
- Conduct check of the inventory items and report on items that require replacement on termly basis
- Check and account for the receipt of the ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Maintain a proper inventory record of all culinary stores and books
- Support the running of food-related school activities
- Minimally completed Primary School Education
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience in food preparation and hygiene standards
- Able to speak, read and write English, pleasant, mature disposition and has basic mathematical skills
