Job Description
Responsibilities
Department
Global Wealth Management / Institutional Client Coverage
Job Overview
This is a high-social-impact institutional wealth role, different from conventional retail client banking. The role exclusively serves listed company major shareholders, founders, directors & senior management (D&O), and single-family offices across Southeast Asia and Greater China.
The incumbent handles high-stakes capital market transactions that directly impact market stability, public investor interests, and regulated capital compliance. This position balances commercial wealth business goals with public market order maintenance, representing one of the most high-barrier, socially responsible front-office capital roles in Singapore’s financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Listed Shareholder Capital Market Advisory & Execution
• Provide end-to-end advisory for restricted stock unlocking, compliant secondary market reduction, block trading, and off-market negotiated transfers for listed company insiders and major shareholders.
• Structure and execute equity pledge, margin financing, and pledge release solutions, proactively mitigating forced liquidation risks and secondary market volatility spillover.
• Support clients in capital market activities including private placement, secondary market share accretion, ESOP and equity incentive plan structuring, ensuring full compliance with SGX, HKEX and A-share market regulatory requirements.
• Conduct pre-transaction compliance screening to prevent insider trading, market manipulation, and irregular share reduction behaviours that harm minority public investors.
Cross-Border Ultra-HNW Family Wealth Solutioning
• Design holistic single-family office (SFO) asset frameworks, family trust structures, asset segregation, and intergenerational wealth succession plans for billionaire entrepreneur families and listed controlling shareholders.
• Deliver cross-border asset allocation, offshore investment, tax compliance consultation, and forex regulatory planning, adhering strictly to Singapore MAS regulations and cross-border capital governance rules.
• Manage multi-jurisdiction asset portfolios including fixed income, equities, private equity, hedge funds and alternative assets for long-term wealth preservation.
Regulatory Compliance & Market Social Governance
• Undertake high-level investor protection and market education responsibilities for institutional capital clients, correcting irrational capital operation behaviours that generate negative market externalities.
• Act as the front-line risk gatekeeper: proactively dissuade clients from grey-area market operations, balance sales KPIs with public capital market order and financial stability obligations.
• Cooperate with internal compliance teams and MAS regulatory filing requirements, conducting regular risk reviews for all shareholder-related capital transactions.
Elite Circle Client Relationship Management
• Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with listed company founder circles, industrial capital groups, and Southeast Asian family office communities.
• Integrate internal investment banking, asset management, research, and legal resources to deliver one-stop integrated institutional financial services.
• Accurately manage client expectation, emotional needs and complex family & corporate capital demands to achieve high-value client retention and AUM growth.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from top universities, major in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law or related disciplines.
• Hold valid Securities & Fund Qualifications; CFA / CPA / Legal Qualifications are strongly preferred.
• 1–5 years of client coverage experience in top-tier Singapore brokerage, private bank, family office or institutional wealth management.
• Proven track record serving listed company shareholders, corporate founders or ultra-HNW family clients is a mandatory advantage.
Core Competencies
• Possess strong regulatory awareness and market social responsibility: able to distinguish commercial benefit from public market interest, and refuse short-term profit-driven non-compliant transactions.
• In-depth professional knowledge of block trading, share reduction compliance, equity pledge, private placement, and cross-border trust & wealth structuring.
• Elite stakeholder communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with corporate controllers, listed directors and senior industrial capital professionals.
• Advanced risk identification capability to pre-empt market volatility, regulatory, reputational and systemic risks from high-value capital transactions.
• Excellent cross-departmental coordination, proposal writing and business negotiation capabilities.
