Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the planning, coordination and execution of our construction projects in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and supervising daily civil and structural construction activities.
Review construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and coordinate technical clarifications with consultants and the project team.
Coordinate with subcontractors, site supervisors and suppliers to ensure that manpower, materials and equipment are available to meet the construction schedule.
Monitor site progress, maintain site records and prepare progress reports, highlighting potential delays and recommending corrective actions.
Coordinate site inspections with consultants and the quality assurance team, verify that works comply with approved drawings and specifications, and follow up on rectification works.
Assist in preparing method statements, technical submissions, requests for information and inspection requests.
Work with the safety team and subcontractors to ensure that construction activities follow approved work procedures and site safety requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant site engineering experience in the construction industry.
Experience with Singapore construction projects is preferred.
Good understanding of construction drawings, civil and structural works, construction sequencing and quality control.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Willing to work on construction sites.
Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage to facilitate work-related communication with Mandarin-speaking project team members and subcontractors.
