Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Insurance Operations Manager to oversee insurance operations and ensure efficient delivery of insurance products and services.

The successful candidate will manage operational processes, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, monitor service performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. This role is suitable for a professional with experience in insurance operations who is comfortable working in a fast-paced insurtech environment.

Igloo is a Singapore-founded full-stack insurtech company with operations across several Asian markets. The company focuses on using technology to make insurance more accessible and affordable.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day insurance operational activities and workflows.
• Oversee policy administration, documentation and transaction processing.
• Ensure insurance products and customer transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor operational performance, service levels and turnaround times.
• Coordinate with insurance partners, brokers, clients and other external stakeholders.
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, product, technology and commercial teams.
• Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and improve standard operating procedures and operational workflows.
• Monitor operational KPIs and prepare regular management reports.
• Ensure processes comply with company policies, regulatory requirements and applicable insurance standards.
• Support the launch and implementation of new insurance products.
• Coordinate system and process enhancements with technology teams.
• Review operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies and potential risks.
• Support automation and digitalisation initiatives within insurance operations.
• Manage operational escalations and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timelines.
• Maintain accurate insurance records and documentation.
• Support audits and compliance reviews where required.
• Lead and mentor operations team members.
• Establish effective communication between business, operations and technology teams.
• Participate in regional insurance-operation projects and process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in insurance operations, policy administration, claims, underwriting operations or a related field.
• Strong understanding of insurance operational processes.
• Experience working with insurance companies, brokers, MGAs or insurtech businesses is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of policy administration and insurance documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and project-management abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work with multiple teams and external insurance partners.
• Good understanding of operational risk and process controls.
• Comfortable working with technology and digital insurance platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading or mentoring operations staff is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with regional teams.
