Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the site Safety and Health Management System and statutory policies
• Conduct comprehensive site audits, risk assessments (HIRARC), and continuous hazard evaluations
• Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations, reporting findings directly to management and DOSH (JKKP)
• Serve as Secretary for the Site Safety and Health Committee and organize regular committee meetings
• Advise project management and site engineers on legal compliance with OSHA, BOWEC, and other statutory regulations
• Oversee toolbox meetings, high-risk work permits (PTW), and safety induction programs for all site personnel
• Prepare, maintain, and submit required OSH documentation, statutory records, and monthly safety performance reports
• Monitor and enforce safety compliance across all subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, safety drills, and corrective/preventive action implementation
• Act as the main point of contact for external regulatory authorities, including DOSH and CIDB inspections
• Perform other statutory safety management and ad-hoc duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Valid Green Book (Registered Safety and Health Officer - SHO with DOSH/JKKP) – MUST
• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a registered Safety and Health Officer on construction or industrial project sites
• In-depth knowledge of Malaysian OSH legislation, including OSHA 1994 (and its amendments), FMA 1967, and BOWEC regulations
• Strong capability in developing risk management strategies, emergency response plans, and safety protocols
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to interface with clients and authorities
• Highly responsible, analytical, and proactive in driving a zero-harm safety culture
• Able to work independently, manage high-pressure sitewide safety matters, and make critical decisions
• Willing to be stationed at project sites and travel as required

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
