Role Description The Head Chef role is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. The Head Chef will lead kitchen operations, including menu planning, recipe development, and daily food preparation to ensure high-quality, consistent dishes aligned with the establishment’s concept. This role oversees food safety, hygiene standards, inventory management, and cost control, including ordering supplies and reducing waste. The Head Chef will supervise, train, and schedule kitchen team members, fostering a positive, efficient, and safe working environment. The role also involves collaborating with management on seasonal menus and promotions, responding to guest feedback, and maintaining high standards of presentation and service.

Qualifications

• Strong culinary skills, including menu development, food preparation, and plating at a professional level.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene standards, and best practices in storage and handling.
• Experience in kitchen management, including staff supervision, training, and performance oversight.
• Ability to manage food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships to maintain quality and budget targets.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple orders and kitchen tasks efficiently.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house and management.
• Prior experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar senior kitchen role, preferably in a high-volume or upscale environment.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training is preferred; additional certifications in food safety are an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the operation.
