• Work Schedule: 3-4-4-3 rotating work/off-day arrangement.
• Working Hours: 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM OR 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM).
• Shift Allowance: Fixed shift allowance provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and execute hardware installations, moves, additions, changes (IMAC), and decommissioning of servers, network equipment, storage, and backup devices.
• Perform advanced hardware troubleshooting, break-fix support, and component replacements, including HDD/SSD, memory, mainboards, and SFP modules.
• Manage structured cabling, patching, and connectivity across data centre infrastructure.
• Conduct regular physical inspections and ensure operational readiness of critical IT equipment and facilities.
• Provide technical support during scheduled maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, and change activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex server, hardware, and network-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and escalation.
• Oversee IT asset inventory, spare parts, RMA processes, equipment disposal, and secure media destruction.
• Coordinate and supervise external vendors, contractors, and service providers during onsite activities.
• Manage data centre access requests and ensure compliance with operational procedures and security standards.
• Support POP site operations, including technical troubleshooting and standby requirements.
• Prepare operational reports, maintain technical documentation, and recommend continuous process improvements.
• Provide after-hours technical support, on-call coverage, and shift support when required.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Centre Operations, IT Infrastructure Support, or a similar technical environment.
• Strong technical expertise in server hardware maintenance, break-fix troubleshooting, and IT infrastructure operations.
• Solid understanding of structured cabling, fibre optics, network patching, and connectivity management.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise-level servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
• Experience managing incidents, change requests, hardware deployments, and infrastructure maintenance in mission-critical environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues independently.
• Experience coordinating vendors and managing onsite technical activities.
• Good understanding of data centre operational standards, safety procedures, and security requirements.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple technical priorities, and respond effectively to critical incidents.
• Willingness to support on-call duties, after-hours maintenance, and shift operations when required.

Advantageous Skills & Knowledge

• Experience in rack, space, power, and cooling allocation for new installations or equipment relocation.
• Knowledge of data centre capacity planning and management, including power, cooling, rack space, and patch panel availability.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or mission-critical data centre environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CDCP, ITIL, CompTIA Server+, Network+, Linux+, A+, or CCNA.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
