WE ARE HIRING: Field Application Specialist – Anatomy Pathology Division (Cytology)

We are looking for a Field Application Specialist to join our Anatomy Pathology Division, focusing on Cytology solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in Cytology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science, Medical Science, or a related field, who enjoys working directly with laboratory professionals and customers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support for Cytology products and solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, application training and user training for customers, laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals.
• Support customers during product implementation, installation, validation and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with customers to understand their laboratory workflow, technical requirements and challenges, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the commercial team.
• Conduct regular customer visits to maintain strong relationships and ensure effective product utilization.
• Assist the sales team during product presentations, tenders, evaluations and technical discussions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and application-related materials.
• Support trials, evaluations and proof-of-concept activities at hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and other healthcare institutions.
• Monitor customer feedback and communicate market/application insights to the relevant internal teams.
• Stay updated on developments in cytology, liquid-based cytology (LBC), cervical cancer screening and related diagnostic technologies.
• Work closely with manufacturers/principals to resolve technical and application-related issues.
• Maintain proper documentation of customer training, technical support activities and application issues.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science, Medical Science, Cytology, Pathology or related disciplines.
• Applicants must be able to read, interpret and analyse LBC slides for both gynaecological (gynae) and non-gynaecological (non-gynae) specimens.
• Practical experience in Cytology / Liquid-Based Cytology (LBC) is highly preferred.
• Experience in Histopathology / Anatomical Pathology will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of cytology laboratory workflow and diagnostic applications.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable conducting technical training and product demonstrations.
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate with the sales and technical teams.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas when required.
• Possession of a valid driving licence.
