Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (part-qualified/pursuing ACCA, CAT, LCCI, or similar is an advantage).
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounts/bookkeeping experience; exposure to both Singapore and Malaysia entities, or multi-country accounting, is a strong advantage.
Working knowledge of Singapore accounting/GST basics and Malaysia accounting/e-Invoicing (LHDN) requirements.
Proficient with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, AutoCount, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Comfortable working independently in a home-based, part-time capacity.
Good communication skills and able to coordinate remotely with a regional finance team.
Based in Selangor, Malaysia, with a suitable home workspace and reliable internet connection.
High level of accuracy, discretion, and integrity in handling financial data.
Responsibilities
Singapore Transactions
Process and record day-to-day transactions for the Singapore entity (sales, purchases, receipts, payments).
Prepare and issue sales invoices to Singapore or Malaysia customers, checked against contracts and job/delivery records.
Perform bank reconciliations for Singapore accounts when required.
Track Singapore accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
Support month-end closing tasks for the Singapore entity (accruals, journal entries) as guided by the Finance Manager.
Maintain proper filing of Singapore invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.
Malaysia Accounts
Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting records for uParcel's Malaysia operations.
Prepare and issue sales invoices to Malaysia-based customers, ensuring compliance with Malaysia's e-Invoicing (LHDN MyInvois) requirements.
Reconcile Malaysia bank accounts
Track Malaysia accounts receivable/payable and follow up on collections and vendor payments.
Support preparation of monthly management accounts for the Malaysia entity.
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, or tax agents in Malaysia as needed (e.g., SST and corporate tax working papers).
General
Coordinate closely with the Singapore HQ finance team and the Malaysia-based HR & Admin Executive on cross-border billing and reconciliation.
Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and audit-readiness of financial records across both entities.
Provide ad hoc finance and accounting support as needed.
