A leading global investment bank is looking to hire a senior C++ engineer to play a key role in the development of next-generation electronic trading technology in Singapore.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded engineering team responsible for building ultra-low-latency trading systems used across global financial markets. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership capabilities, helping shape both technology strategy and the growth of the engineering function across Asia.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the design, development, and optimisation of high-performance, low-latency trading systems in modern C++
• Build and enhance exchange connectivity across major Asia-Pacific markets using FIX and native exchange protocols
• Drive technical architecture and strategic technology decisions for mission-critical trading platforms
• Partner closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and global engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions
• Help grow and mentor a team of experienced software engineers in Singapore
• Champion engineering excellence, modern development practices, and scalable system design
• Collaborate with colleagues across London, New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore on global initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant exposure to electronic trading systems
• Expert-level C++ development skills (C++14/17/20)
• Proven experience building ultra-low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems
• Strong understanding of performance optimisation, concurrency, networking, and system design
• Experience with exchange connectivity, FIX protocol, market data, TCP/UDP networking, and messaging systems
• Track record of leading projects, influencing technical direction, and mentoring engineers
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across global team
