Eakon Academy Hiring! Business Development Intern in Federal Territory, Earn up to MYR 1,200 - Ricebowl

Position Overview

The Business Development Intern supports the growth initiatives of EKG M&E Sdn Bhd and Eakon Academy Sdn Bhd, reporting directly to the Business Development Director. The role combines business development execution (lead generation, client outreach, proposal support) with marketing execution (content, social media, events, brand visibility) to build pipeline and market presence across the group's business lines.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify and qualify new business leads (hotels, developers, facility owners, corporates) for services
• Support preparation of proposals, quotations, and partnership/sponsorship letters
• Track follow-ups with prospects, sponsors and partners in the pipeline tracker
• Conduct market and competitor research to surface new opportunities
• Assist with scheduling client meetings and preparing meeting minutes

Marketing

• Plan and publish content across social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) for EKG M&E
• Coordinate design of marketing collateral (brochures, proposal decks, event materials)
• Support the organizing and promotion of events, open days and training showcases
• Maintain and update website content and course listings
• Track marketing metrics (engagement, leads generated) and report monthly

Requirements & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
• Interest in B2B business development and/or digital marketing
• Comfortable with basic design tools (e.g. Canva), MS Office, and social media platforms
• Good written and spoken English; Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage for client-facing work
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable reaching out to prospects and clients
• Able to commit to at least 1-3 months, based in Kuala Lumpur
