Wetown Electric (Global) Co., Limited Hiring! Full Time Regional System Engineer in Selangor - Ricebowl

WETOWN Electric is seeking an experienced and technically competent Regional System Engineer to support the design, engineering and technical development of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for regional markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing BESS system designs and technical solutions, preparing engineering documentation, supporting project execution and providing technical expertise to customers, business development teams and project stakeholders.

This role requires strong knowledge of renewable energy systems and BESS applications, together with the ability to translate customer requirements into technically sound, commercially viable and reliable energy storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design BESS solutions and proposal based on project requirements, application needs and customer specifications.
• Perform system sizing and configuration, including battery capacity, power rating, energy requirements and operating parameters.
• Develop electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), system architecture, equipment layouts and technical specifications.
• Coordinate the integration of battery systems, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), transformers, switchgear and other associated electrical equipment.
• Evaluate system performance, efficiency, operating conditions and technical feasibility.
• Work closely with internal engineering and sales to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide technical presentations and product briefings to customers, consultants, EPC contractors and project developers. Attend site visit whenever necessary.
• Provide engineering support during installation, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the renewable energy, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) or energy storage industry.
• Proven experience in BESS system design, engineering, proposal, integration or technical project execution.
• Good understanding of battery technologies, PCS, EMS, energy storage applications and electrical system integration.
• Ability to develop and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Good technical communication, problem-solving and project coordination skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally based on business requirements.
• Good command of written and spoken English. Additional regional languages would be an advantage.
