Position Title: Operations General Manager (Data Centers)

Location: Johor Bahru

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for 24/7 operations across multiple facilities.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth and service excellence.
• Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical infrastructure and support systems.
• Lead incident response, risk management, business continuity, and operational resilience programmes.
• Establish and maintain operational procedures, standards, and performance metrics.
• Oversee maintenance programmes and drive improvements in reliability and efficiency.
• Manage operational readiness and handover activities for new facilities and expansion projects.
• Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders, ensuring service expectations are met.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operational and engineering teams to build long-term capability.
• Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Manage external service providers and ensure vendor performance aligns with operational requirements.
• Oversee operational budgets, resource planning, and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, safety, and governance requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience leading operations within critical infrastructure, industrial, utilities, telecommunications, technology, or other high-availability environments.
• Proven track record managing large technical teams and complex operational environments.
• Experience overseeing round-the-clock operations with a strong focus on reliability and service delivery.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, or facility infrastructure systems.
• Experience in incident management, risk assessment, business continuity, and operational planning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, customers, contractors, and service providers.
• Strong commercial awareness, budgeting, and resource management skills.
• Experience supporting facility expansions, operational readiness, or major project transitions is advantageous.
