Technical Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technology professional with strong experience in application support, environment management, and production operations. The candidate should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in application support, middleware support, system administration, or related technology roles.
• Experience in banking, cards, and payments systems is preferred.
• Experience with Cardlink, VisionPLUS, or similar card processing platforms is an advantage.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience supporting Open Systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python, Shell scripting, REST APIs, and Git.
• Experience working with containers, cloud technologies, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Good understanding of web/application servers, APIs, middleware, and distributed applications.
• Working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL databases, including SQL troubleshooting.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS certificates, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, Mock Run, release implementation, and deployment validation.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Geneos and Splunk.
• Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support.

Technical Skills:

1. Application & Middleware Support

• Experience in application support, middleware support, and production operations within Open Systems environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, JBoss, APIs, integration technologies, and messaging platforms (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ).

2. Modern Application Technologies

• Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, REST/SOAP services, JSON/XML, cloud platforms, containers, and API Gateway solutions.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.

3. Database, Monitoring & Payments Domain

• Working knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Geneos and Splunk and troubleshooting production issues.
• Exposure to Cards and Payments systems is preferred.
