Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Equipment Engineer to join our Equipment Improvement Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, process improvement initiatives, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting continuous improvement activities to enhance manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to established schedules.
  • Conduct equipment health checks and ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Investigate equipment failures and identify root causes.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to minimize recurrence of equipment issues.
  • Lead and support equipment improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
  • Ensure equipment operation complies with company procedures and audit requirements.
  • Support knowledge sharing and technical training within the equipment team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational and quality objectives.
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in engineering, maintenance, or equipment-related functions.
  • Experience in PCB, semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or a related industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PLC systems and PLC programming is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability activities.
  • Basic knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in piping repair, pump maintenance, plastic welding, metal welding, MTTR, and MTBF is preferred.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
