Requirements
JUNIOR QS / QS EXECUTIVE / SENIOR QS:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Minimum 1-5 years of working experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction industry.
Experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willing to travel to project sites when required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
JUNIOR QS / QS EXECUTIVE / SENIOR QS:
Assist in preparing cost estimates and tender submissions.
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare comparison sheets for subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Analyse rates, material costs, labour costs, plant and equipment costs and other project-related expenses.
Assist in preparing tender pricing and commercial proposals.
Identify potential commercial risks and cost implications during the tender stage.
Prepare quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings, specifications and project documents.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) where required.
Review drawings, specifications and scope of works to identify quantities and cost implications.
Maintain records of subcontractor contracts, claims, payments and variations.
Assist in administering construction contracts in accordance with the applicable contract conditions.
Prepare and submit interim progress claims to clients.
Measure and value work completed on site.
Coordinate with the Project and Site Teams to verify work progress.
Monitor outstanding payments and assist in following up with relevant parties.
Identify and monitor variations and changes to the original scope of works.
Monitor the approval status and financial impact of variations.
Ensure approved variations are properly reflected in project cost records and final accounts.
Monitor project costs against the approved budget and contract value.
Identify potential cost overruns and cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and manage final accounts for completed projects.
Finalise quantities, variations, claims and outstanding commercial matters.
Reconcile contract value against actual project costs.
Maintain accurate project cost records and forecasts.
Maintain proper records to support claims and contractual entitlement.
Highlight potential disputes, delays or cost exposures to the Management.
