Responsibilities

• Deliver effective teaching and learning activities for diploma, degree and/or postgraduate students in the assigned discipline.
• Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials, assessments and learning activities in line with programme and accreditation requirements.
• Apply engaging and student-centred teaching approaches, including digital learning tools and online platforms.
• Develop, review and update teaching materials, assessments and course contents to ensure academic quality and industry relevance.
• Provide academic advising, consultation and guidance to students, including monitoring student progress and supporting weaker students.
• Prepare, invigilate and mark examinations, assignments and coursework in a timely manner.
• Participate in moderation, examination boards, programme review, quality assurance and accreditation-related activities.
• Support student activities, recruitment events, industrial visits, industry engagement activities and other College events when required.
• Contribute to research, scholarly activities, publications, professional development and industry collaboration initiatives.
• Build and maintain good collaboration with industry partners, professional bodies and external stakeholders.
• Undertake academic administrative duties and other responsibilities assigned by the School or College management.

Requirements

• Possess a recognised Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised institution. Candidates with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) qualification will have an added advantage.
• Professional certification and/or relevant industry experience will be an added advantage.
• Preferably with teaching experience in higher education institutions or relevant industry exposure.
• Preferably possess a valid teaching permit issued by the relevant authorities, or qualify for the application of a teaching permit. All teaching permits must remain active and valid.
• Professional qualifications recognised by relevant professional bodies will have an added advantage.
• Familiar with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) requirements, Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) regulations and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices.
• Familiar with curriculum development, academic quality assurance, programme accreditation and assessment moderation practices in higher education.
• Good command of spoken and written English with strong presentation and communication skills.
• Passionate in teaching, student development and continuous professional growth.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Possess good organisational, time management, interpersonal and student engagement skills.
• Demonstrate commitment towards academic quality, professionalism and industry engagement.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic achievements and relevant industry exposure are encouraged to apply for Lecturer positions.
