- Experience in commercial kitchens, pastry, ice cream or food production preferred.
- Able to follow recipes and measurements accurately.
- Responsible, organised, hardworking and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to learn gelato production.
- Malaysian citizen; position subject to applicable Halal staffing requirements.
- Food Handling Certificate and typhoid vaccination required before starting food-handling duties.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce gelato according to approved recipes and SOPs.
- Handle daily production, including mixing, cooking, churning, freezing and packing.
- Ensure consistent product quality, taste, texture and portion sizes.
- Follow production schedules and prepare orders on time.
- Monitor raw materials, finished products and inventory levels.
- Maintain accurate batch records, stock records and production documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Halal, food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of kitchen equipment.
- Report production issues promptly and obtain approval before making any recipe changes.
