Regional Sales Manager | Kuala Lumpur | Refining & Petrochemicals | Process Licensing

Our client is a globally recognised technology solutions provider serving the refining, petrochemical, and energy transition sectors. They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join their Kuala Lumpur team on a permanent, flexible basis - a high-travel, individual contributor role covering South East Asia and ANZ.

The Role

Technical credibility meets commercial drive. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Driving sales prospection, business development, and promotion of process licensing and associated equipment across SEA and ANZ
• Building relationships with key clients through regular visits, technical presentations, seminars, and conferences
• Preparing commercial proposals and managing contract negotiations in collaboration with the legal team
• Gathering regional market intelligence on opportunities, regulations, and incentive programmes
• Maintaining accurate sales forecasting, CRM reporting, and coordinating with cross-functional teams globally

What We're Looking For

A technical hunter with commercial instinct? Here's what you'll bring:

• A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• At least 10 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or bio-renewable sectors, with a minimum of 3 years in sales or commercial roles
• Solid familiarity with the Asia Pacific refining and petrochemical market
• A proven hunter mindset, with a value-selling approach and a strong track record of converting new opportunities
• Willingness to travel at least 50% across the region; must be locally based in Kuala Lumpur
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin, French, or regional languages is a bonus
