JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Technician / Production Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair production machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production machines and equipment.
• Respond immediately to machine breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Identify the root cause of machine problems and perform appropriate corrective action.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
• Monitor machine condition and identify potential problems before breakdown occurs.
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Repair or replace faulty machine components, sensors, motors, belts, bearings and other related parts.
• Conduct machine setting, adjustment, calibration and testing when required.
• Support machine installation, relocation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain proper records for breakdowns, repairs, preventive maintenance and spare parts usage.
• Monitor critical spare parts and inform management when replacement parts are required.
• Work closely with Production to ensure machines operate safely and efficiently.
• Assist in improving machine reliability, efficiency and production uptime.
• Ensure all maintenance work follows company safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organisation of tools, spare parts and maintenance areas.
• Coordinate with machine suppliers or external service providers for major repairs when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate / SKM / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technology or related technical field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Maintenance Technician, Production Technician, Machine Technician or similar position in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates with 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience will be given preference.
• Experience handling production machinery, automation equipment or industrial machines is preferred.
• Candidates from Garment, Textile, Printing, Packaging, Automation or other manufacturing industries are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, wiring and control components.
• Good understanding of mechanical components such as bearings, belts, gears, pneumatic systems and motors.
• Able to use basic maintenance tools and testing equipment.
• Able to read basic electrical or mechanical drawings is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, inverter/VFD, servo motor or industrial automation is an added advantage.
• Able to identify machine problems systematically and perform root-cause troubleshooting.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Willing to work on the production floor and respond to urgent machine breakdowns when required.
• Responsible, disciplined, proactive and hands-on.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
